The Universality and Eternity of Truth:
Truth is a universal and eternal concept that transcends all aspects of human existence. No matter how one attempts to reject, deny, or ignore it, truth will eventually prevail. The truth does not age or lose its relevance; it remains constant. As stated in Matthew 10:26, "there is nothing covered that will not be revealed." Truth cannot be avoided, and it will find a way to surface.
The Importance of Upholding Truth:
Truth is an invaluable asset that should never be compromised. It is essential to value, seek, and share the truth. Concealing truth can have disastrous consequences, as illustrated by the example of someone who discovers a cure for a contagious disease but decides to withhold it. Similarly, if one has the power to prevent a disaster but chooses inaction, the consequences of their indifference can be devastating.
The danger of rejecting or ignoring the truth is catastrophic. Denying the truth, even for seemingly good reasons, ultimately leads to one's destruction. Just as a child might warn of an impending danger, even those who are less experienced or less powerful may hold the key to revealing the truth. Acknowledging the truth is the responsible action, even when doing so seems unpopular or uncomfortable.
The Consequences of Ignoring Truth:
Regardless of how much experience, wealth, or power a person may have, denying the truth can lead to significant harm. If a person knows the truth but refuses to act on it, such as failing to warn others of a disaster, they are complicit in the consequences. Knowing the truth but ignoring it, or failing to believe it, is equally dangerous. The fact that one is unaware of the truth does not exempt them from its consequences. Even if the masses may believe a particular falsehood, that does not make it true. History has shown that truth often contradicts popular belief, as in the case of Galileo’s assertion that the Earth is round, which was met with ridicule and condemnation.
The Obligation to Seek Truth:
It is not enough to wait for the truth to find you. Everyone has a responsibility to actively seek the truth, and ignorance is no excuse for avoiding it. Failing to seek the truth can lead to destruction, just as ignoring the signs of an impending natural disaster can lead to irreversible damage. One must pursue the truth diligently, even when it is difficult or inconvenient.
The Power of Truth:
Truth is not merely a belief; it is an undeniable force that exists independently of human perception. Truth is the foundation of everything; it is tangible, real, and universal. It is essential to understand that the truth cannot be changed or altered by public opinion. Even when the majority is wrong, the truth remains constant.
The Challenge of Speaking the Truth:
Telling the truth is not always easy. It requires courage and wisdom. Often, the truth is met with resistance, and those who speak it may face criticism, rejection, or even persecution. However, the importance of telling the truth far outweighs the fear of opposition. People may oppose the truth, but it is essential to remain steadfast in revealing it, as the consequences of withholding it are severe.
The Responsibility of Truth-Tellers:
When you know the truth, you have a responsibility to share it. Failing to share the truth can result in the judgment of those who suffer due to your silence. This responsibility is exemplified in the biblical passage Ezekiel 33:8, where the failure to warn the wicked about their wrongdoing leads to their destruction and the accountability of the one who failed to speak.
When, Where, and How to Tell the Truth:
Truth should be shared as soon as possible, wherever it is necessary, and in the most appropriate manner. Timing, context, and approach are all crucial in conveying the truth effectively. When revealing a difficult truth, it is essential to prepare the ground and ensure that the recipient is receptive. In some cases, seeking guidance from those more experienced in handling sensitive situations can help navigate the delivery of the truth.
The Role of Wisdom in Truth-Telling:
It is not enough to simply speak the truth; one must do so wisely. Truth-telling requires not only courage but also the ability to understand the consequences and the best way to communicate it. Sometimes, speaking the truth involves personal reflection and repentance. When one has committed a wrong, it is essential to acknowledge the error, express genuine regret, and take responsibility for the consequences.
The Types of Truths in Life:
There are various types of truths, both natural and spiritual. These truths govern our actions and reactions and are based on immutable laws. Some of the most important truths include:
1.         ACTION DETERMINES REACTION BUT INTERPRETATION DETERMINES FEELINGS
2.         BELIEF DETERMINES THE COURSE OF YOUR DEEDS BUT ATTITUDE DETERMINES ALTITUDE
3.         READ BEFORE YOU LEAD AND KNOW BEFORE YOU TEACH
4.         YOU PRAISE WHAT YOU RAISE AND YOU RAISE WHAT YOU PRAISE
5.         TO LEARN YOU MUST APPLY BUT TO MEMORIZE YOU MUST REHEARSE
6.         DISCIPLINE LEADS TO IMPROVEMENT BUT INNOVATION TO GROWTH
7.         THERE IS NO GOOD MARKET WITHOUT GOOD MARKETING AND NO CONTINUITY WITHOUT TRUST
8.         TO TRAVEL FAST GO ALONE BUT TO GO FAR LET US GO TOGETHER
9.         THE SUBCONSCIOUS INFLUENCES YOUR CONSCIOUSNESS BUT TO CHANGE YOUR WORLD YOU MUST CHANGE YOUR PARADIGM
10.       DECIDING TO CHOOSE AND CHOOSING TO DECIDE DETERMINE ONE’S DESTINY
11.        SOW TO REAP BUT REAP TO SOW (GIVE TO RECEIVE BUT RECEIVE TO GIVE)
12.       HUMAN NATURE IS POLARIZED BY A MIXTURE OF NEGATIVE EVIL AND POSITIVE GOOD
13.       SEEK TO FIND AND FIND TO SEEK, MASTER YOURSELF AND YOU WILL AVOID MANY A PROBLEM
14.       SIN ATTRACTS JUDGMENT BUT SALVATION LEADS TO JUSTIFICATION (REPENTANCE LEADS TO FORGIVENESS)
15.       THERE IS NO END WITHOUT A BEGINNING AND NO BEGINNING WITHOUT AN END
These fundamental truths govern all aspects of life and should guide our decisions and actions.
Truth is not just a concept; it is a powerful force that shapes our world. The refusal to accept, value, and act on the truth is dangerous and can have dire consequences. We are responsible for seeking the truth, sharing it, and living by it, no matter the challenges or resistance we may face. The truth will ultimately prevail, and it is better to be on the side of truth, even if it means standing alone, than to follow the crowd and face the inevitable consequences of falsehood.
