For as long as the Bible has been read, it has been filtered through layers of myths, tradition, and institutional self-interest. What many readers experience as personal confusion is, in reality, the result of a long history of human intervention—a "tangled mix" of translations and commentaries that have effectively wrapped the original message in a shroud.

In The Final Jubilee, Dror Ben Ami dismantles the conventional narrative. Drawing on over fifty years of intense studies focused on the linguistics of metaphors, Mr. Ben Ami reveals how religious authorities have manipulated traditions to transform their own commentaries into "laws-beyond-reproach," systematically drifting further away from the original message of both the Old and New Testaments.

This book is not a theological treatise; it is an examination of religious texts using the same principles of analysis utilized by Comparative Literature courses in universities throughout the world. It offers a rigorous process of filtering and extraction designed to strip away the stale, institutionalized assumptions of the past to reveal the scriptures as they were originally meant to be understood.

The Final Jubilee invites you to look past the dogma and address many foundational, yet still debated, questions:

If the original penalty was death, why did Adam and Eve survive?
Who was actually named in the Covenant of Abraham and what did each person receive?
What is the technical distinction between a prophet and a messiah?
Is Passover a ritual of redemption, or an instruction for liberation?

For those who have grown weary of the "hide and seek" games played by traditional institutions, The Final Jubilee provides the framework to begin to look beyond the fictions. By restoring the ancient metaphorical language of the scriptures, The Final Jubilee exposes how these historical misinterpretations continue to shape our modern holidays, traditions, and the very structure of 21st-century religious life.

Dror Ben Ami invites you to stop blindly accepting "authoritative" commentaries and to return to the original texts. Utilizing similar procedures as found in The Final Jubilee, you will have a framework to interpret both the Old and New Testaments independent of outside sources.

THE FINAL JUBILEE: is a complete: “stand-alone” work, but it also serves to complement the book: “THE VINEYARD” (Assessing the Biblical Landscape through Metaphors).

THE VINEYARD: discusses hundreds of metaphors in order to make the scriptural stories easier to understand and more relatable to one another.

THE FINAL JUBILEE takes some of these same metaphors found in: “THE VINEYARD” and uses them to show the relevance of Biblical stories to the 21st century.

Dror Ben Ami has studied English and Comparative Literature at: Georgetown University, George Washington University and the University of Haifa. His research started almost 50 years ago, focusing on the works of Dr. Maurice Nicoll; since then, Mr. Ben Ami has written on Torah law, the Gospels and current religious affairs. Living in Israel since 1980, he brings a unique perspective to religious studies, challenging many traditional views held for centuries by both the Christian and Jewish communities.
