Soaring with the Eagles #1005958

In a world that often equates leadership with control, dominance, and self-assurance, the gospel leads in a different way. True godly leadership does not begin with assertive power but with the surrender of it.

Soaring with the Eagles—and the life behind it—is a testimony to that kind of leadership: one shaped not by ambition, but by obedience; not by charisma, but by consecration.

“To be a good leader will cost you your very life.”

Bishop Leeann E. Baker

As a leader, there is great surrender and submission to the Lord while being led. Some see yielding as a weakness; however, in ministry, natural strength does not destroy yokes!

For it is God which worketh in you, both to will and to do of His good pleasure. Philippians 2:13 KJV

Bishop Leeann E. Baker defines what it means to be a godly leader to the core, giving scripture references and explaining what God requires from the called and qualified.

As a godly leader, one must not handle the people of God as peasants, but embrace one another with love and kindness so that He can draw the hurt and wounded.

Soaring with the Eagles highlights that the gifted and talented are not automatically qualified as good leaders, but that living what we teach and partnering with the Holy Spirit in holiness is what makes a good leader. The fruit that we bear will show through our actions and lead to wholeness in Christ.

As you read these pages, may you be reminded that leadership in the kingdom is not about us, but about sharing the Lord’s grace, gratitude, and gospel of truth.

In His grace, but for His glory,

Kenneth Semien Jr.
