The work done was assessing the impact of inflation on cost of living in Dape and Jahi villages Abuja: a case study using a qualitative and quantitative questionnaire amongst 50 randomly selected the respondents. More than 50% of the respondents are young adults of ages 18-35 years. Gender shows more males responded than the females. Those with diploma has the highest qualification in the area. Majority (50%) of the respondents are self-employed. 36% of the respondents which is the highest earn as little as less than 50,000 naira monthly. 76% of them indicated a daily increase. The most significantly increases of all the essential commodities was food (33%) according to the responses. Majority (58 %) of them went for very significant effect of inflation. Reducing expenses was the most strategy adopted by respondents. Over 90% were very concerned about the effect of inflation on the future securities.This calls for urgent intervention by the Government and relevant authorities.
