Phoenix #1003289

“The ship returned to me once more, once the envy of the Bering Sea, already on her way back to safe shores, yet returned into a formidable black storm.”
Phoenix unfolds between the Bering Sea and memory. After the First Lebanon War, a young man sails north- into cold waters, into silence. What began at sea does not end there.
Yuval Yehuda Edden is an Israeli author living in Greece. The novel draws on his own voyage to the Aleutian Islands following the war and the memories that have endured for decades.
