After the flood, Noah's three sons—Shem, Ham, and Japheth—began to repopulate the earth. Following an incident where Ham viewed his father's nakedness while Noah was drunk, Noah cursed Ham's son, Canaan, to be a servant to his brothers. Eventually, their descendants settled in Shinar. Sharing one language, the people pridefully sought to build a city and a tower reaching the heavens to make a name for themselves. To humble them, God confused their speech and scattered them across the earth, halting the construction of the city, thereafter called Babel. This book is for all Chinese beginners. I tried to include most of the vocabularies used in the story, along with their English meanings. Wherever possible, I tried to make use of simple grammar structures and avoid the more complicated grammar structures. If you are a beginner in the Chinese language, this is the book for you.
