The story of Pangu describes the Chinese creation myth where the sky and earth were initially a dark, singular mass. Pangu, a powerful giant, awoke and decided to separate them by pushing the sky up and stomping the earth down. After thousands of years of constant effort, he ensured they would never rejoin. Exhausted, Pangu died, and his body transformed into the world: his eyes became the sun and moon, his breath turned into wind, and his blood became rivers. Ultimately, humans emerged from the insects on his body. This book is for all Chinese beginners. I tried to include most of the vocabularies used in the story, along with their English meanings. Wherever possible, I tried to make use of simple grammar structures and avoid the more complicated grammar structures. If you are a beginner in the Chinese language, this is the book for you.
