The Jōmon people were the earliest inhabitants of Japan, living there over 10,000 years ago. Named after their unique "rope-patterned" pottery, they were skilled at creating beautiful clay vessels and small "dogū" figures. As hunter-gatherers, they lived in pit houses within small villages, utilizing the sea for fish and forests for nuts and animals. They deeply respected nature, believing spirits resided in all things. Over time, they began simple farming before eventually merging with the Yayoi people, who brought rice cultivation, forming the foundation of modern Japanese culture. This book is for all Chinese beginners. I tried to include most of the vocabularies used in the story, along with their English meanings. Wherever possible, I tried to make use of simple grammar structures and avoid the more complicated grammar structures. If you are a beginner in the Chinese language, this is the book for you.
