The Chinese folktale "Kuafu Chasing the Sun" tells the story of a giant named Kuafu who was fascinated by the sun's daily journey across the sky. As he ran, the heat made him extremely thirsty, and even after drinking from rivers and lakes, he could not quench his thirst. Exhausted and unable to continue, Kuafu collapsed and died. After his death, his walking stick transformed into a peach forest that provided fruit and water for others. I tried to include most of the vocabularies used in the story, along with their English meanings.
