The Chinese folktale "Kuafu Chasing the Sun" tells the story of a giant named Kuafu who was fascinated by the sun's daily journey across the sky. Determined to catch it, he chased the sun across mountains, rivers, and forests. As he ran, the heat made him extremely thirsty, and even after drinking from rivers and lakes, he could not quench his thirst. Exhausted and unable to continue, Kuafu collapsed and died. After his death, his walking stick transformed into a peach forest that provided fruit and water for others. The story teaches perseverance, bravery, and the value of striving toward difficult goals. This book is for all Chinese beginners. I tried to include most of the vocabularies used in the story, along with their English meanings. Wherever possible, I tried to make use of simple grammar structures and avoid the more complicated grammar structures. If you are a beginner in the Chinese language, this is the book for you.
