However, the gods became angry because Gun took the soil without permission. The Fire God Zhurong killed him. Later, Gun’s son, Yu, continued controlling the floods by digging rivers to guide water into the sea. The story teaches kindness, sacrifice, wisdom, and helping others. This book is for all Chinese beginners. I tried to include most of the vocabularies used in the story, along with their English meanings. Wherever possible, I tried to make use of simple grammar structures and avoid the more complicated grammar structures. If you are a beginner in the Chinese language, this is the book for you.
