Neither Meat Nor Fish - Terra vegan series by Nemo – Vol. 5 - Innovative bases for creating plant-based dishes #927578

Neither Meat nor Fish is the vegan self-production manual that revolutionizes Italian cuisine. It is not a recipe book like any other, but a true laboratory of culinary freedom. Nemo, author of the Terra Vegan series, proposes a completely new approach to vegetable cuisine: no tofu, no seitan, no industrial products, but original BASES, created from scratch to replace meat and fish in a natural, ethical, and tasty way.
The title is not a negation, but a promise: the promise of a cuisine that does not imitate, but invents. Through accessible techniques and simple ingredients, the reader learns how to create new raw materials from legumes, flours, seaweed, and spices. Each BASE is a small masterpiece of balance between texture, flavor, and versatility, designed to recreate traditional dishes with surprising results.
The book explains how to make Non-Meat and Non-Fish BASES at home, structured to become roasts, stews, fillets, escalopes, sauces, grilled dishes, or seafood dishes in a completely plant-based version. These are not artificial substitutes, but living, self-produced foods, designed for those who want to return to cooking with awareness, reducing waste and dependence on the food industry.
Each section is structured as a journey: theory, recipes, preservation, cooking techniques, and suggestions for creating everyday or festive dishes. With a clear and passionate tone, Nemo accompanies the reader step by step, explaining how to achieve realistic textures, balanced flavors, and dishes that are every bit as good as their traditional counterparts.
Né Carne né Pesce is also a cultural invitation: to recover the memory of Italian cuisine and return it to the Earth, transforming every gesture into an act of respect and freedom. The BASICS described are not a finished product, but an idea that restores autonomy to those who cook. Kneading, cooking, curing, preserving: every step becomes knowledge.
With over 250 pages of technical explanations, practical examples, and recipes, the book teaches that plant-based cuisine can be complete, nutritious, and satisfying. There is no need to give up traditional flavors, but rather to reinterpret them with intelligence and love.
Né Carne né Pesce is a bridge between the past and the future: between the memory of family cooking and the need for a more ethical and sustainable world. It is the book for those who want to learn to cook freely, artisanally, and consciously, without meat or fish, but with all the flavor of life.
