THE WORLD
There is only one Japan, with two layers of reality. By day, Cecilia lives her ordinary life, between work and small local legends told by the people she meets. By night, through the threshold of her own capsule, she accesses hidden Japan, where those very legends turn out to be true.
The saga’s “antagonists” aren’t villains: they’re Guardians, creatures tied to places and concepts (directions, trust, memory, fire, choices…) who lose their own balance because of a Wound, and who need to be helped to heal, never defeated by force. Behind some of these Wounds, the saga hints, hides something — or someone — that doesn’t cause them by accident, but feeds them on purpose, for reasons still to be discovered.

Volume 2 — Akihabara Cecilia learns to navigate the hidden world and meets her first three companions: Hibiki the violinist, Sora the poet, Iro the multicolored girl. Together they must help the Crow of the Sky, wounded Guardian of lost directions, but their first attempt fails from a lack of real trust in each other, with real consequences in the daytime world too. Only by confessing their deepest fears to one another do the four become a true team, the Harmony of the Four, and restore the Crow’s purpose.
