Wolves - A Monk Anselmo Mystery #1016549

In a remote mountain village, fear has returned with the wolves.
Eight years after a woman known as the Lady of the Wolves died amid violence and superstition, men connected to that night begin to die one after another.
When Brother Anselmo, a Benedictine monk, arrives in the village, he finds a community ruled by old hatreds, ancient beliefs and secrets no one wishes to uncover. The evidence points to wolves. The villagers are certain of it.
Anselmo is not.
As fear turns once again into violence, he must discover whether he is hunting a beast—or a murderer hiding behind an ancient legend.
Set in early-fourteenth-century Italy, WOLVES is a historical mystery in which murder, faith and superstition collide.
The first mystery in the seven-book Monk Anselmo Mysteries. Each investigation can be read on its own.
