Why The Rose Grew Thorns #1015105

Five floors above a London street, a secret roof garden keeps its own kingdoms, manners and gossip. Chrysolina, a jewel-striped rosemary beetle, overhears the ancient Rose Queen confess how a mother's heartache grew her thorns. Nearby, a wounded young quince prince, nursed back to health in silk by a gentle Gardener, longs for the Queen's love. When his bitter fruit secretly blushes rose pink, one whisper sets the whole terrace talking in this tender fairy tale for grown-ups.
