The Darkness Shines - A Thomas O’Gradey Serial Killer Novel #985027

In The Darkness Shines, we return to the life of Thomas. He is back from his Olympic debut, where he won a gold medal for the team and a silver medal in the individual show jumping. He has been working diligently on his advanced dressage in preparation for the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta.
It has been a while since Thomas and Casey have taken care of any trash. They start out discovering a man who burns two of his horses for insurance money and tries to poison another. Thomas and Casey manage to take care of him and his cronies. They also exterminate another one of Casey's rapists.
Dan moves in with Thomas. Then Thomas buys a house for the three of them. The apartment in the city was getting too crowded. Casey meets a new love interest that he thinks might stick around, but interestingly enough, Thomas has had a long-time crush on this guy and that throws a wrench into the already complex equation.
Thomas's parents come to visit for his 24th birthday and stay for five days. Thomas and his father get into a squabble about Frank's drinking.
Thomas acquires two new horses as well. One is a very large Thoroughbred mare, who he hopes to use as one of his show horses, and the other is a pregnant Thoroughbred mare who he plans to breed to MC once she has this foal. He wants to breed his future show horse for when MC retires.
By the end of this chapter in Thomas's life, he has been working with the large animal vets and learning a lot about the various processes with the horses, cattle, etc. He also acquired a macaw which had belonged to an elderly woman who had passed away.
This book takes you on another emotional roller-coaster. You will laugh, cry, cheer, and maybe even learn some new things about what veterinarians and serial killers go through on a day-to-day basis.
