When the fame of Jesus the Nazarene spreads and news of his deeds reaches Rome, the imperial authorities decide to turn him into yet another piece in their strategic game in Judea.
The sects opposing the power of Tiberius in the name of the God of Israel are violent and irreconcilable, and a peaceful messiah could serve Roman interests. To follow Jesus and keep him under control, Lucius Valerius Aduncus, a loyal servant of the Empire, is sent to Judea.
Unbeknownst to him, Jesus becomes an instrument in a great political game. But his destiny will take an unexpected turn, thwart Rome’s plans, and change the course of history.
