The Embered - Book One: Shadow Hunting #1013173

The end times have arrived. The skies are breaking. And humanity’s last line of defense rides on the wings of dragons.
Gunnersmate Petty Officer (GM2) Chris Jensen thought he knew what it meant to fight for survival. But nothing in his military training could prepare him for the day the world fractured. When he is Emberlinked to Dravanyx—a powerful purple dragon—Chris is thrust from the modern battlefield into an ancient, apocalyptic war.
Hellish portals are tearing open all over the globe, unleashing hordes of ruthless demons intent on wiping out mankind. Alongside a tight-knit team of tactical riders and their majestic bonded dragons, Chris must lead a desperate charge to close the rifts before the world is swallowed by darkness.
Driven by a shadowy entity known as Bragheim, the demonic forces are growing stronger by the hour. With the clock ticking toward total annihilation, Chris and his team must fight their way through a dying world to secure a critical, ancient gateway—one that leads directly into another realm. But as the pressure mounts and shadows creep into their own ranks, the ultimate threat might not be the monsters pouring from the rifts, but the fracturing trust within the team itself.
The world is burning. Trust is a luxury. Let the final battle begin.
