Jonathan Finder gets lost on the moors. But that is only the start of his problems. Entering a house to seek help he meets the Keepers, from that point on his world and, indeed, the very universe he thinks he inhabits changes radically. 

He discovers new skills and a new role, he also discovers that his life and his past are not what he thought they were and that his new companions need his help just as much as he needs theirs.
