Handmade Gift Ideas - What to sew, knit or crochet for people who don't craft, how to tell if it is good enough, what to do with yarn or fabric you were handed, and how to answer when asked to make one for pay #1012475

You spent three weeks on it. Now it sits wrapped in tissue paper, and you are lying awake wondering if your sister-in-law will think it is lovely or cheap. If you have ever asked a stranger online whether your handmade present is good enough, this book is for you. Handmade Gift Ideas is a calm, practical guide to deciding what to sew, knit or crochet for the people on your list, especially the ones who do not craft, and to giving it without the dread. It is not a stitch tutorial, a pattern book, a guide to fixing technique problems or a manual for opening a craft shop. It is about the choices around the making: who the gift is for, how long it will really take, whether it is ready, how to hand it over, and what to say to the friend who asks you to make one for pay. Inside, you'll learn: Nobody can promise how any one person will react to a gift, but you can raise the odds, choose with your eyes open, and enjoy the giving again. Make it, wrap it, and hand it over calmly.
