The White-throated Sparrow can be found inhabiting open woodlands, forest edges, and shrublands throughout North America. This species has a distinctive white throat that contrasts with its greyish-brown upperparts and yellowish underparts. Adults may have head stripes of either white or tan, and scientists have found some odd differences in behavior between these two color morphs.
