The Terranova Library is in danger of disappearing in 2014, more than 60 years after withstanding the harshest storms of its history. 
As soon as Bicentho Fontana announces his library is finally getting shut down, he realizes that his life and memories are in danger of disappearing along with it. The library was not just his home; it was also the home of his parents, Amaro and Kumba, and a palace of memories with his uncle, Eliseo, his Argentinian girlfriend, Guara, and so many others. 
The library has always been a refuge for dissidents and the oppressed, and the home of the treasures of cultures smuggled across borders and seas and of books banned by greater powers. 
Terranova on its Last Day does beyond the story of a library closing down. It tells the stories of characters who have had life’s doors locked to them but still chose not to surrender. It is the story of those who suffered during an era of dictatorship and the destruction of culture, politics, and freedom, and still resisted.
