In My Reminiscences, Nobel Prize-winning poet Rabindranath Tagore opens a window onto the formative years of one of the world’s most luminous literary minds. With grace, sensitivity, and quiet humor, Tagore recalls his childhood, his family, and the intellectual and spiritual atmosphere that shaped his imagination.
More than a simple autobiography, this work is a meditation on memory, creativity, and the inner life. Through vivid reflections and delicate observations, Tagore brings to life the world of nineteenth-century Bengal while revealing the experiences that nurtured his poetic vision.
Intimate, elegant, and profoundly human, My Reminiscences offers readers a rare opportunity to encounter the early life of a writer whose voice would go on to inspire generations across the globe.

Rabindranath Tagore (1861–1941) was an Indian poet, novelist, philosopher, composer, and educator. A central figure of the Bengal Renaissance, he reshaped modern Bengali literature and music through his lyrical, spiritual, and deeply humanistic works. In 1913, he became the first non-European writer to receive the Nobel Prize in Literature, awarded for Gitanjali. His vast body of work includes poetry, novels, short stories, essays, plays, and songs, including the national anthems of India and Bangladesh.
