This book, originally titled, FLOATING MY WAY TO NIRVANA, incorporates Ric’s personal and professional life experiences through a psychological and philosophical, at times, haunting journey, that will become clear as soon as you start reading, at some point during the exploration, or not at all. Not to worry— there are quite a few amusing and touching sashays into the known and unknown that will leave you awe-struck for days to come.


Ric was born into a family of singers, musicians, writers, artists and actors. Thus at birth was his fate sealed. As a musician, singer and composer, he has performed all over the world, and is a four-time recording artist on Imagine Records. His latest—The People’s Train, will be released later this year. His viral hit, Bless Their Souls: Vote Hope, garnered 122,000 views on YouTube and was used in the successful Georgia senatorial campaigns of Raphael Warnock and Jon Ossoff, for which they wrote: “Thanks for providing the soundtrack for our path to victory.”


As a concert producer, Ric has booked and produced superstars in concert (Ella, Patti, Tony…), and a score of all/time great jazz giants (McCoy Tyner, Elvin Jones, Jon Hendricks…). He is a practicing psychotherapist, civil rights attorney, major charity auctioneer and former editor at the New York Daily News, among his various pursuits. To be clear, although he has been asked, practically begged, many times, Ric does no dentistry at all, and never will. Don’t even think about asking.



Ric has been semi-married to his love, Judy Zangwill, since late 1979. They are the proud parents of two sons--Jace, approaching 34, and Marley, 31. He is also exceedingly proud of his long-gone parents and aunts and uncles, as well as his (mostly) not-gone siblings, cousins, nephews and nieces, in-laws and dear, dear, dear friends. Yes, YOU!!
