The Queen Bee - The Illustrated Fairy Tale That Explains Climate Change to Children and Reminds Grown-Ups of It. With Coloring Pages, Ages 6 and Up #1011895

The planet is in danger, but this time it won't be a hero who saves it. It will be a bee.
In a small village in the Amazon rainforest, Mayor Pedro finds a strange letter hanging on his Christmas tree. It smells like a cookie, it is covered in colorful drawings, and it is signed by the Queen Bee. Two years earlier, during his election campaign, Pedro promised to plant twenty trees for every child born in the village. The animals remember. He forgot.
While the mayor wonders how an insect could possibly write, animals from every corner of the Earth are traveling by plane, train, bicycle, and cruise ship to a great meeting: zebras and lions, pandas and polar bears, whales, fish, and one very outspoken camel. Together they decide to give humans a second chance, and to send one more letter.
The Queen Bee is a story about climate change written for readers aged 6 and up: deforestation, melting glaciers, plastic in the oceans, and animals that have lost their homes are told through a tale full of warmth, humor, and hope, where change begins with small everyday choices and every one of us can become a guardian of the Earth.
Written by Antonella Migliorati, a pharmacist and biologist as well as a poet, the book includes a foreword by Mariangela Pia Nanna, color illustrations, and coloring pages that let young readers make the story their own. A perfect Christmas story to read aloud at home or in the classroom, and an invitation to rediscover the value of love, cooperation, and respect for nature.
