The publication of the following series Of letters of one Of our most talented and unfortunate English Queens is the result, not Of any preconcerted design thus to illustrate her changeful personal history, but of accidental circumstances which threw into my way several collections of her letters, the pos session of which suggested the idea of gathering together such others as I could find, and publishing them in a connected series.
