Denmark, during the last half century, has passed through the throes of a wonderful regeneration. Her peasantry has been emancipated from a condition of veritable serfdom her education has been liberalised her land system, agriculture and finance have been reorganised and brought to a pitch of excellence which is the envy of many a greater, yet less perfectly developed, state.
