Was it from out of chaos hurled, And then, for ages upon ages Time's unrelenting foot had trod. Until a natural sphere was formed, Created first by nature's God? Seest thou all these rugged mountains, Resting on the breast of mother earth; Canst realize the awful grandeur Of her travail when they had birth?
