The spirit Of the world — the Spirit of falsehood and Of negation hates the Pope the Vicar of Christ; it hates all our Lord's true miii isters — the Catholic bishops and priests -with demoniacal hatred. Why? Be cause they are the palladium Of truth, and of public and private morality; the root and bond Of charity and of faith.
