The simple gift of perception, with which intelligent being is endowed, is in itself a pleasure and a blessing, and perception is pleased in beholding harmony and proportion wherever he looks. What ever contradicts harmony, or weakens or contra dicts relationships, diminishes the fulness of exist ence, and approaches the state of nothingness, which is the greatest evil.
