Manifested universe must needs lie in this very variety that if there be more than the One then there must be well nigh infinite multipli city, in order that the One, which is as a mighty sun sending forth beams of light in all directions, may send beams everywhere, and in the totality of the beams will be the perfection Of the light ing of the world. The more numerous, the more wonderful, the more various the objects, the more nearly, though still imperfectly, will the universe image forth That whence it comes.
