Pythagoras was a great mathematician, philosopher, and scientist, born in Samos, Greece and is thought to have lived in the 500s BCE. Little is known of the life of Pythagoras, and it is even questioned whether he is deserving of credit for all of the work now attributed to him. Regardless, he is considered a great pre-Socratic philosopher, and his work is studied to this day.
