Can Sharks and Orcas swim in the desert together? Apparently not, but in this poignant novel set in an imaginary hotel we meet some characters who have much in common with the predators of the ocean. Focused on an original psychological theory, the Macintosh hypothesis, a group of scientists meet in Mansouriyah City where they discover unknown realities behind an accident that does not seem to have a culprit.
The story of the Gulf War runs parallel to the narration and the desert offers all its majesty, moment after moment.

Sami G. Hajjar is a Lebanese American retired political science professor and former U.S. Foreign Service Officer.
