Ariadne is a sculptor, a senior at the School of Fine Arts, and she must soon submit her thesis project. Time is running out and her recent breakup with Kostis is blurring her judgement even more.
Wishing to impress, she decided to experiment with her unsuspecting neighbors and use elements of their daily lives in her project. And so, she doesn’t hesitate to steal their personal objects, install microphones in their apartments and photograph them during personal moments. The fear of being caught doesn’t stop her. However, her “experiment” will drag her into an adventure that will turn her as well as her neighbors’, life around with unexpected results for everyone.
Along with her, the narrator finds the chance to infiltrate the “maze” of her building, to enter into strangers’ apartments, to peek into other people’s lives, to get to know their unconfessed desires, secrets, and dead ends.
“Same old, again… She felt bad that her clothes kept falling into the priest’s garden. This year alone, it had happened three times. What would he think in the end?.... Probably that she was doing it on purpose. At least the other times it was a sweater, pants, a T-shirt… But lingerie, she thought, was too much. How could she bring herself to ask for it in the morning? She always sent Nikitas, the building superintendent, to claim them. But now? It was a bit too much for her undergarment to be handled by so many unknown hands…”
