Diverse Arcanum is a journal filled with personal history both unremarkable and remarkable, grossly amateur drawings and inspiration spawned by various hallucinogens and experiences. It was started by the author in the mid-1980s just before his horror writing career took flight, and set aside by the mid-2000s but was mostly used between 1987 to 1996. Not a word written sober, it was shared over the years with his friends, girlfriends, family, strangers at wild parties and horror celebrities, all of which made contributions large and small.
